Oceans 7 is a musical collabo which consists of Jermaine Dupri, his Personal Assistant, Tyrone Davis, Trey Songz, Brian Cox, Nelly, Johnta Austin, and Usher. One would THINK that with all of these musical power houses and creative forces that some dynamic s**t would be happening. One would THINK that they would be developing some new age style type music. One would THINK wrong. So far Oceans 7 has not released anything worthwhile or even worth radio play. This new song, “I Need That Girl” sounds like the creation of Lil Ronny from up the block. Lyrics like ““What to know what I need?, a b**ch like me, Want to rock Jays, want to smoke weed, one that don’t front, give it to me when I want it. Hook a N***a up with some head in the morning, Hit the strip club, she gonna come too, and when I’m in the studio she’s gonna fall through, Is that you? Cause I need that girl right there” let me know that this group was assembled not to allow creative juices to intertwine, rather to let all of the many ignorant thoughts the members have mingle with one another. There are other little gems in the song that are too precious for me to type. Feel free to take a listen.
