Just saw the trailer for the new VH1 reality show Basketball Wives and was struck me is that the majority of the women on the show are in fact not wives to the players. They may be girlfriends or even baby moma’s but they are not their wives. Big difference even if you are still getting perks. You might as well go for the gusto. Imagine the perks you could be getting if you had a ring on it. You would think more of them would have pressured their guys into marriage but I’m sure they probably would rather not rock the boat. On another note, I am a little dissapointed to see the cattiness. Must every show with an all woman cast be full of drama, back stabbing and drink splashes in the face? Is this reality? Is this how we really are with one another? Maybe in some instances. I love how they tie it up with a pretty ribbon at the end by saying something to the effect of ” We all love each other” or “We all take care of each other”. Girl, I guess. Also whats up with the stripper antics from one of the girls? Always has to be one hoe in the bunch. Anyway, I’m sure it will do well especially with the more urban audience because we do not have many shows on that we can tune into and see people that look like us, sound like us etc… The lead role is played by Shaq’s Ex Shaunie. Check out the preview.

I notice Shaq's wife keeps her self "clean" in this show while the others make complete idiots of themselves lol
