Almost no one remembers him from the Coca-Cola commercial but the kid from back then has grown into a multi-faceted singer, rapper, actor and now comic book title owner. I’ve always been into comic lore even though growing up I was way too broke to afford a collection of my own. By the time I got to the age where I could buy them myself I didn’t have that same passion for them as I once did and moved on to something else. When I heard about Tyrese’s Mayhem project I couldn’t help but look closer if for no other reason than checking out his Hustle and seeing what could be incorporated into our collective game…
He doesn’t approach it from an insider’s viewpoint…
Meaning he’s not jaded by the scene and can come at it with a fresh set of eyes and non-creaking bones. He can look at the situation from the business vantage point without worries about the tumultuous undertone that the comic industry paints on those who’s been in it for a while. He also sees it as a life long passion [to be the hero of a comic book] which fuels a “top notch quality” work ethic–if you were on the cusp of realizing a boyhood dream, why would you settle for less than perfection?
He’s a walking, talking PR firm…
His fans from all around the world know him for many reasons, all of which can be touched on when campaigning his new line without any feelings of it being shoved down anyone’s throat. He’s already at Comic Con for Transformers; he’s already at the Grammy’s; he’s already at your local family water park (hey, he gets it in) so why would it be hard for him to say, “Hey, check out my comic book.
