The number one rule of Hustle, above all others, is that under no circumstances do you A.) leave money on the table and/or B.) do anything proactive to your success. There’s a continuity that you as an entertainer is expected to keep up, even in the midst of trying on a new personage. “Being real” means staying true to that and for the most part, I’m all for it. When it comes to the tough guy drug dealer element, I’m cool on it. When you’re not making any money from music, I can almost kind of see it being okay but once you cross that threshold into stardom, the foolishness must cease.
