Ladies, the next time you want to check on your man’s online activities, you better think twice because snooping could lead that a** to a prison sentence. Leon Walker has been charged under anti-hacking laws aimed at preventing identity theft in the US. He now faces five years in prison. The 33-year-old had suspected his wife Clara, who had been married twice before was having an affair with her former husband.
He is alleged to have used his computer skills to gain access to her Gmail email account on the shared home computer. Mr. Walker discovered a series of emails which confirmed his suspicions that his wife was cheating on him. As her second husband had previously been arrested for beating her in front of her son, Walker handed the emails over to the boy’s father. The concerned father, Clara’s first husband, sought sole custody of the boy and was forced into revealing Walker had leaked him the emails.
The Man Box And How It Affects Both Men And Women
Well I will be damned. Is this what it has come to? You can now be arrested for snooping? There are so many things out of order with this. The first is that this couple already seems to be messy with the history of cheating and domestic abuse and ex husbands still in the picture. Perhaps this was not meant to be. Regardless, I think that being arrested for snooping on your spouse is ridiculous. There has to be limitations to how much the law is going to interfere with what is happening between a man and a woman and this pushing it. Aside from domestic violence, custody battles or illegal activities taking place in the home, I do not think it is necessary for the law to be involved in spats involving a married couple. Five years is beyond harsh for this “crime” it is ridiculous. Sure morally maybe he should not have been snooping but aside from that, there really wasn’t a law broken. I am curious to know what the wifey has to say about this fiasco. Also, how did the police even find about this “crime”? Who actually took their ass down to the police station and wanted to press charges for this mess? If the wife was cheating with the ex husband, why not just leave and go back to him? Ahhh…So many damn questions!
The couple’s divorce was finalized this month after the wife Clara Walker filed for divorce. Prosecutors based their charge on a Michigan statute which is normally used for crimes like stealing trade secrets and identity theft. These crimes are usually punished with prison time, the highest conviction given for such a crime being of five years. The case is set to hit courts in Michigan Court on February 7th of 2011
