Women come in different shapes, sizes, colors, height, and flavors. In the past, the vanity of a woman determined her status, which gave birth to the “complexion wars”. As some women are in the midst of battle with swords drawn, the “booty monsters” have jumped into battle; and Kim “Kardashian’ed” both sides, killing the game. They say vagina is power; I say booty runs the world. Booty has evolved into a phenomenon. Everyone is literally buying a**.

This phenomenon is now giving more of an edge in competitiveness between women of other races to become more appealing to black celebrities and high profile power players. No worries, for those ladies that can’t afford a cosmetic booty implant, or injections, they can always opt out for the booty pop panties for a small fee. Now, there is a hazard that comes along with the padded wonder, when the pants go down, the lights better be off, or she has some serious explaining to do. I can respect my fellow counterparts in the game that are naturally born with it and even those who want to enhance their look, but this has gotten ridiculous. Whatever happened to being comfortable in the skin you’re in? What ever happened to “if someone doesn’t like it, there’s somebody out there that loves it?”

Women seem to have enough to compete about, but now the object of his affection is the almighty powerful “booty”. Men’s desires have evolved. It started with lighter skin women, and then on to exotic women. Although Madam C.J. Walker revolutionized beauty for the black woman’s hair, there are women out there trying to achieve what they believe is status with extensions, contacts, injections, and fake everything. I don’t think men realized overtime their desires would perpetuate women into becoming living Barbie dolls. Yet, they still have complaints.

I hear men complaining about how fake women are and that this is now another reason to justify interracial dating. In seeing how music, videos, television and movies portray the image of Black women, I am so eager to add my two cents in and ask them, “What in the hell did you expect?” In vanity, a man is never satisfied; he is always looking for the “baddest chick in the game.” Women of all races are fighting to hold that title. At the end of the day, no a** is worth buying in sacrificing your health and image to feed into the hype. The booty phenomenon will phase out with casualties, my question is, how many women will be left standing?
