It’s Your Beauty, Cutie. Not Your Booty! By now everyone should have read the story about the phony, transgendered Miami doctor who gave new meaning (and use) to the words “Fix A Flat” after he (or she) injected a middle-aged Miami woman’s gluteus Maximus with a “could have been” perilous concoction of rubber tile sealant and – as if the first item wasn’t enough to make one’s booty bounce off the wall or at least out of a chair – cement.

The buzz online reports that this woman, who worked at a night club, apparently wanted a cheap way to add some apples to her bottom in preparation for her upcoming pole act to Ginuwine’s sultry club hit, In Those Jeans. Needless to say, she got jipped and now her back pockets are really heavy these days – and I don’t mean from a stack of one dollar bills.
Okay. So I may have stretched the truth a little – probably not as much as the injected concrete procedure stretched this woman’s skin – , but seriously, I nearly wiggled out of my own jeans from laughing so hard when I read this story.
When my hysteria settled, I realized this really is no laughing matter. What’s happening to our perceptions? Are we really letting the Kim Ks get to us to the point where we are trying to compete for the 10 – panty size – spot?
You see what her tail got. She’s getting divorced, and what she used to get in the door of Kris Humphries’ home, wasn’t enough to keep her there and may not be enough to keep her butt from being kicked to the curb by the American public.
I mean … like … really? Why are women risking their lives so someone else will find them attractive? Why is this the length that someone will go to become more desirable or beautiful in others eyes?
Maybe it’s all those images people grew up watching on BET and MTV that Wreckx-N-Effected our brains with visuals and the unforgettable melodies from videos like Rump Shaker featuring buxom, scantily clad women shaking their backsides by a luxury pool.
And, why are women of color falling prey to this, even though historically they’ve been more psychologically and emotionally secure with their bodies than the “others”?
I don’t know, but my mama always told me … don’t use your ASSets to get a man’s or anyone else’s attention. It’s more important to flex the muscles in your brain than your bum. That’s what real men find attractive.
Fakery begets fakery.
Real women realize they don’t need to use their bodies to get what they want and so do real men.
Don’t believe me? Take a look at a few studies. A University of Iowa Decennial Study on what men want showed that today’s men are more attracted to compassionate women who are smart and financially dependable and secure.
They may like a little eye candy, but it’s a woman’s brains and her inner beauty that will keep them sweet on her for life.

This is a good article but I can't say I agree with a few things being said.Mainly that women don't have to flash their bodies to get what they want.Men are naturally visual creatures that think with their second head.I don't see how a smart finanicially stable and secure woman ALONE can keep a mans attention. Now I can see a combination of both!I see far less men drooling & chasing after women that lack curvacious bods but are passionate smart & etc. Thn I do chasing women with big racks and large bums.I believe women should learn to love themselves the way they are and work with what they have but I do understand those that are a bit desperate for improvmnt.
