I am beyond impressed with the results while using this product. Before using this conditioner, I was always trying to use new products to get the soft and shiny look. Recently I was listening to my boyfriend and his friends discuss the reasons why some of them prefer White women over Black women. Many of their reasons were purely based on superficial factors, which bothered me. It is one thing to date someone because you like them as a person and could care less about their skin color which is perfectly fine. It is another thing to purposely seek a particular race for frivolous reasoning. I know that this topic has been discussed over and over but I do not think that it has ever been looked at via a more superficial eye. (more…)

Howard Stern came under some heat recently for his comments about Gabourey Sidibe. He was quoted as saying something to the effect that Sidibe would not be able to have a career because she was a fat Black chick. He also went on to say that Oprah lied to Sidibe by telling her that she would even have a career. Although I understand his overall assessment in saying that Hollywood does prefer thinner women for their roles, he still did not have to say it in such a d**k head manner. (more…)

I remember a few months ago when the situation between Rihanna and Chris Brown first occurred, I argued with a friend of mine that Brown could still save his career and that all it would take was a few months and the public would forgive him. Finally. A new Black feature film without the chucking and jiving. Check out the trailer for Queen Latifah and Common’s new movie Just Wright. I am excited about this movie for a few reasons. One being, that there does not seem to be coonery in it, two being the line up, and three being that sexy creation that is Common. Good God. I will take him on a platter right now please.
